FxPro Review 2026: Costs, Safety, Platforms and Who It Suits

Written By: Elena Vargas

The 60-Second Decision

FxPro is most relevant to intermediate and advanced forex and CFD traders who value a choice of professional platforms, algorithmic tools and access to a broad range of CFD markets. Its pricing gives traders a choice between spread-only accounts and raw-spread accounts with commission.

The trade-off is that costs and protections depend on the account and legal entity. Before opening an account, identify which FxPro entity will serve you and compare the full spread-plus-commission cost for your instruments. Leverage also varies by jurisdiction, client classification and product.

Broker Profile

DimensionProfile
Main business modelSTP broker offering leveraged forex and CFD trading.
Product focusForex and CFDs on commodities, indices, futures, stocks and ETFs.
Pricing modelHybrid: spread-only Standard-style pricing and raw-spread accounts with commission.
Automation supportMT4 Expert Advisors, MT5 Expert Advisors, cTrader cBots, TradingView research tools and VPS hosting.
Typical customerIntermediate and advanced forex/CFD traders seeking platform choice and automation.
Regulation structureMulti-entity: FCA, CySEC, FSCA and SCB-regulated entities.
Trading complexityHigh: account pricing, leverage and protections vary by legal entity, client classification and instrument.

What materially distinguishes it?

Two pricing approaches
Standard-style accounts use spread-only pricing, while Raw+ and cTrader add commission to narrower spreads. Traders can choose the structure that better fits their instruments and turnover, but should compare total costs rather than spreads alone.
Multiple routes to automated trading
MT4 and MT5 support Expert Advisors, while cTrader supports cBots and cloud automation. This gives algorithmic traders options across established platforms rather than tying them to one broker interface.
Entity-dependent protections and leverage
FxPro operates through regulators in the UK, EU, South Africa and the Bahamas. The contracting entity determines client protections, compensation eligibility, products and leverage, making the account agreement central to choosing the broker.

What We Tested — and What We Didn't

Tested directly

  • Deposit and withdrawal: We deposited 10,000 yen and requested an immediate withdrawal as a legitimacy check. It was rejected for about a month over bank and account-name details. A separate $40 USDT withdrawal remained pending without a clear update.
  • Order placement: We placed stop orders with stop-loss and take-profit settings, then disputed how they were triggered or cancelled.
  • Live chat: We contacted live support within hours. The response focused on waiting time rather than checking the beneficiary details we were concerned about.
  • Email support: We emailed support about the pending withdrawal but received no timely response.

Verified from primary sources

We checked the regulator and licence references against the regulator records linked in this review. The entity-specific regulatory frameworks and the protections attached to them should be considered separately.

Not independently verified

We did not independently measure typical execution speed, slippage rates, rejection rates or liquidity-provider performance. The direct account and support interactions above are specific to our requests and do not establish how every FxPro client will be treated.

EliteRaw/zero-style pricing; selected FX can be zeroFX majors and Gold: $3.50 per lot per side; Bitcoin: $5 per side; other instruments varyNo separate current minimum published in public FAQ

Spreads float. FxPro's average spreads include 1.3 pips on EUR/USD and 1.8 pips on GBP/USD; minimum spreads are not typical costs. On selected FX pairs, Raw+ offers zero spreads for 90% or more of the trading day, with commission added on forex and spot metals.

Standard-style accounts use spread markups without a separate commission. Raw+ and cTrader accounts use a commission-based structure for forex and spot metals; the typical charge is $3.50 per side per lot. The overall charge depends on account, instrument and entity. FxPro also lists average spreads of 0.42 points for gold and 0.7 points for S&P 500 CFDs.

What the Headline Number Doesn't Tell You

Zero spreads

Advertised spread: Raw+ offers zero spreads on selected FX pairs for 90%+ of the trading day; Elite pricing can also offer zero spreads on selected FX.

What that doesn't tell you:
These are not the terms for every instrument or account. Raw+ and cTrader commission charges apply to forex and spot metals, so compare the spread and commission together rather than treating a zero spread as a zero-cost trade.

Non-Trading Costs

FeeAmountConditions
Deposit--
WithdrawalFxPro generally does not charge deposit or withdrawal fees, but an e-wallet withdrawal fee may apply when there has been no trading; third-party providers can also charge.Normally no FxPro withdrawal fee; an e-wallet fee can apply to no-trading withdrawals.
InactivityA $5 monthly inactivity fee applies after 6 months of inactivity.Triggered by the inactivity period and account conditions stated here: A $5 monthly inactivity fee applies after 6 months of inactivity.
Currency conversionA currency-conversion cost or markup can apply when the deposit, withdrawal, instrument, profit/loss, or settlement currency differs from the account base currency. The exact rate usually depends on entity, product and conversion route.Applies when a deposit, withdrawal, instrument, P/L or settlement currency differs from the account base currency; rate varies by entity, product and conversion route.

Overnight swaps depend on instrument, position size, direction, rates and holding period. FxPro charges swaps on positions held past 21:59 UK time. FX and metals incur a triple swap on Wednesdays; other instruments, including cryptocurrencies, have a Friday triple swap. Islamic accounts are available, though administrative fees may apply after a grace period.

Cost most worth watching

For active forex traders, compare the Raw+ or cTrader commission with the Standard spread using the pairs and trade sizes you actually use. For positions held overnight, include swaps; for accounts funded or settled in another currency, allow for conversion costs.

Legal Entity Map

RegulatorLicense NumberJurisdictionMain Protections
CySEC078/07EEA / CyprusCyprus/EEA MiFID framework applies. Retail leverage/product rules and investor-protection/complaint arrangements differ from offshore entities; compensation eligibility depends on the entity and client.
FCA509956United KingdomUK FCA framework applies to this entity. Retail-client leverage/product rules, client-money safeguards and complaint/compensation routes can differ from offshore entities; eligibility rules apply.
FSCA45052South Africa (or clients routed to SA entity)South African FSCA framework applies. Check whether the entity is the product issuer or only an intermediary; protections and product terms can differ materially.
SCB (Bahamas)SIA-F184International / Bahamas entity (subject to exclusions)Local/offshore SCB (Bahamas) framework applies. UK/EU/Australian retail protections and compensation schemes do not automatically apply; leverage, products and dispute routes may differ.

The contracting entities are FxPro Financial Services Ltd for the EEA/Cyprus listing, FxPro UK Limited in the United Kingdom, the South Africa-authorised group entity for clients routed to South Africa, and FxPro Global Markets Ltd for the Bahamas entity. The client agreement determines the applicable regulatory framework and protections.

Why the entity matters

Eligible retail clients may qualify for FSCS protection up to £85,000 in the United Kingdom or ICF protection up to €20,000 in Cyprus, depending on the contracting entity and eligibility. Those compensation schemes do not automatically extend to clients of the Bahamas entity. FxPro’s leverage also varies by regulator and client status: UK/EU retail major currency pairs are capped at 1:30, while professional and offshore accounts may have higher limits. Instrument-specific limits can differ.

Client Protection

FxPro says it keeps client funds segregated from company operational funds and provides negative balance protection to retail clients. It also states that its financial records are audited by PwC. These protections do not remove market or counterparty risk, and scheme eligibility depends on the legal entity and client status.

Retail leverage limits vary by entity, client classification and instrument. The figures in the table are maximum retail leverage by asset class; they do not override stricter jurisdiction-specific limits. For example, UK and EU retail clients are capped at 1:30 on major currency pairs.

Where the range is strongest

Equity CFD coverage is the largest listed category, with 1,832 stocks, alongside 70 forex instruments and CFDs on commodities and indices. These products provide price exposure; stock CFDs do not confer share ownership or voting rights.

Where it is limited

FxPro does not offer bonds or a standard retail options product. ETF CFD availability depends on the entity and platform, and no stable public ETF-only count is published. Crypto exposure is generally through leveraged derivatives rather than ownership of coins in a wallet, and may be restricted by jurisdiction.

Execution and Trading Conditions

4.5/5

FxPro is classified as an STP broker. FxPro describes its execution as STP/NDD and says its platforms support fast execution; those descriptions are broker claims rather than independently established performance results. Positive and negative slippage can occur. No numerical slippage or execution-speed statistics are used here to predict a particular client’s result.

Leverage depends on legal entity, client classification, instrument and position size. FxPro's dynamic leverage model can reduce available leverage automatically as position size increases. UK/EU retail clients are capped at 1:30 on major currency pairs; professional or offshore clients may access higher limits, including up to 1:500 on FX and gold for specific accounts.

The stated margin-call level is 60%, with a 50% stop-out level. FxPro says negative balance protection applies to retail clients. Hedging and scalping are allowed on supported accounts and platforms, though some MT5 accounts may default to netting. News trading is generally permitted; volatility can still lead to slippage. Check the terms of the account and entity that will hold your positions before relying on a particular leverage or execution condition.

09

FxPro offers market analysis, trading ideas, trading signals, an economic calendar, market sentiment tools and a currency heatmap. These tools can help with event monitoring and market screening, but they do not replace independent analysis or risk controls.

Education

Educational material includes courses, webinars, articles and guides, and videos and tutorials. This gives traders several formats for learning about markets and trading platforms.

Before You Open an Account

Check these three things first

  1. Your legal entity: Confirm the contracting entity and regulator shown in your account documents, then check which compensation and client-protection arrangements apply to you.
  2. Your likely trading cost: Compare the spread and any per-side commission for your account, and include overnight swaps and currency conversion where relevant.
  3. Your product/account requirements: Confirm that the instruments, platform, leverage and account pricing available to your entity match the way you trade.

Bottom line

FxPro is primarily suited to traders who want a choice of professional platforms and CFD markets. The main practical checks are the legal entity serving you and the full cost of the account you plan to use.

012 — FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About

Is FxPro regulated?

Yes. FxPro operates through entities regulated by the FCA in the United Kingdom, CySEC in Cyprus, the FSCA in South Africa and the SCB in the Bahamas. The contracting entity depends on the client and jurisdiction. Check your account agreement because leverage, product rules, complaint routes and protection arrangements differ between entities.

Is FxPro safe?

FxPro says it segregates client funds and provides negative balance protection to retail clients. Eligible retail clients may qualify for FSCS protection up to £85,000 in the United Kingdom or ICF protection up to €20,000 in Cyprus, depending on entity and eligibility. These safeguards do not remove trading risk, and compensation arrangements do not automatically cover every entity.

What is the minimum deposit?

FxPro lists a $100 minimum deposit overall. The Standard account has no fixed minimum, with $1,000 recommended; the other account types have no separate current minimum published in the public FAQ. Funding requirements and available account conditions can depend on the client’s entity and location.

Does FxPro charge commission?

It depends on the account. Standard-style pricing is commission-free and uses a spread markup. Raw+ and cTrader accounts typically charge $3.50 per side per lot on forex and spot metals, in addition to the spread. The cost depends on account, instrument and trade size.

Does FxPro offer MT4 or MT5?

Yes. Both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are available on desktop, web and mobile. Their Expert Advisor automation and custom-code development are centred on the desktop or VPS environment, while browser and mobile versions are primarily for trading and monitoring.

How long do FxPro withdrawals take?

Published estimates vary by method: e-wallet and cryptocurrency withdrawals are usually processed within one working day, SEPA or local bank transfers can take up to two working days, and international wire transfers are estimated at three to five working days. Card withdrawals can take around 10 working days in some cases. Payment-provider or bank settlement can affect the final arrival time.
