Axi Review 2026: Costs, Safety, Platforms and Who It Suits
The 60-Second Decision
Axi suits active forex traders seeking desktop MT4, automation and a choice of spread-only or raw-spread pricing. Standard accounts have no separate commission; Pro accounts offer spreads from 0.0 pips and charge commission.
The main trade-off is that the cost and protections depend on the account and legal entity. A $0 Standard-account minimum does not mean every account or payment method has a $0 funding threshold, and leverage differs sharply between regulated retail accounts and some international accounts.
Before opening an account, confirm the contracting entity, applicable commission, leverage and protections for your client classification.
Decision Snapshot
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Best suited to | Active forex traders, particularly MT4 users who value automated strategies and a choice of pricing models. |
| Less suitable for | Traders who need the same leverage and protections across jurisdictions, or who want bonds or options. |
| Main advantage | Choice of spread-only Standard pricing or raw-spread Pro pricing with a separate commission, alongside MT4 automation support. |
| Main limitation | Account terms, leverage and protections vary by legal entity, location and client classification. |
| Minimum deposit | Standard: $0 account minimum; payment-method thresholds can apply. Other account terms differ. |
| Main platforms | Axi Trading Platform, MT4, MetaTrader WebTrader and the Copy Trading App. |
| Biggest fee to watch | For Pro pricing, commission is added to the spread; overnight financing and currency conversion can also affect total cost. |

-

Broker Profile
| Dimension | Profile |
|---|---|
| Main business model | STP broker type. |
| Product focus | Forex and leveraged derivatives across commodities, indices, stocks, ETFs and crypto, subject to entity and product availability. |
| Pricing model | Hybrid: Standard uses wider spreads without a separate commission; Pro uses raw spreads from 0.0 pips with a per-lot commission. Commission can vary by entity and jurisdiction. |
| Automation support | MT4 Expert Advisors, API trading support, VPS options and copy trading. |
| Typical customer | Active traders looking for forex and CFD access, MT4 tools or automated strategies. |
| Regulation structure | Multiple legal entities and regulatory jurisdictions; the contracting entity determines applicable rules. |
| Trading complexity | Medium to high: account pricing, leverage and protections vary with the entity, account and client classification. |
What materially distinguishes it?
- Two spread-pricing models
- Standard pricing rolls the broker’s charge into the spread, while Pro pricing pairs raw spreads from 0.0 pips with a separate commission. Traders can compare the structure that fits their volume, but should calculate the all-in cost rather than focus on the minimum spread.
- MT4 automation with API and VPS options
- MT4 Expert Advisors, API trading support and third-party VPS options create a route for traders who want automated strategies to run beyond a local desktop session. Full EA and custom-code workflows remain desktop- or VPS-centric.
- Axi Select capital-allocation program
- Axi Select is a separate trader program through which eligible participants can progress toward allocated capital of up to $1,000,000. It has its own account conditions, including a restriction on rapid short-term scalping.

What We Tested — and What We Didn't
Tested directly
- Order placement: During almost two years on a live account, we found execution fast and noticed no significant slippage.
- Withdrawal: One Axi Select withdrawal issue required help from the Axi Select team. Other payouts in our experience went through without problems.
- Email support: The team worked with us on the withdrawal problem.
Verified from primary sources
The regulator register links and entity details are provided in the legal-entity table below. The test did not independently establish the full scope of each entity’s protections or all account terms.
Not independently verified
Our order-placement experience is limited to the account and period described; it is not a measure of typical execution speed or slippage across instruments, market conditions or Axi entities. We did not independently establish broker-wide slippage statistics, liquidity claims or the full range of account and regulatory conditions.

03
What Does It Actually Cost?
Axi uses floating spreads. Standard pricing builds the broker’s charge into a wider spread, while Pro pricing pairs raw spreads with commission. A minimum spread is not the same as a typical spread: Axi’s average EUR/USD spread is 1.1 pips, while the Standard account’s quoted EUR/USD spread starts from 0.68 pips.
Account Pricing
| Account | Minimum Spread | Commission | Minimum Deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | EUR/USD from 0.68 pips | $0; costs are built into the spread. | No fixed minimum; Axi UK recommends $100 |
| Pro | From 0.0 pips | Typically around $3.50 per standard lot per side, or $7 round trip; varies by entity and jurisdiction. | No fixed minimum; Axi UK recommends $100 |
| Axi Elite | From 0.0 pips | Reduced commission; around $3.50 round trip. | Recommended $25,000 (not a hard minimum) |
| Premium | Not separately published | $4.50 round trip | Not separately published / current label unclear |
| Spread Betting | Instrument-specific | No separate trading commission stated; pricing is primarily spread-based | No separate account minimum published |
| Swap-Free | Depends on underlying account | Depends on underlying account. | Depends on underlying account |
These are account-level starting spreads, not a promise that the minimum will be available at all times. For comparison, Axi’s stated average spreads are 1.1 pips on EUR/USD and 1.5 pips on GBP/USD; the Gold (XAU/USD) average is 0.13 points and the S&P 500 CFD average is 0.29 points. The account and instrument determine how those spreads combine with any commission.
What the headline number doesn't tell you
Zero-pip spreads
Advertised spread: Pro and Elite spreads start from 0.0 pips.
What that doesn't tell you:
The starting spread is not the all-in cost. Pro accounts add a per-lot commission, and the applicable commission can vary by entity and jurisdiction. Compare the spread and commission together for your expected trade size.
$0 minimum deposit
Account minimum: Standard account: $0 minimum.
What that doesn't tell you:
Payment methods have their own thresholds: cards have a $5 minimum, PayPal $10 and cryptocurrency $50. Pro and Elite have separate account conditions, and Axi UK recommends $100 for Standard and Pro accounts.
Non-Trading Costs
| Fee | Amount | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | Axi does not charge standard deposit fees within the applicable USD 50,000 monthly funding limit. Fees may apply to card/other-method funding above that threshold; bank transfers remain free. Third-party/network fees can also apply. | Fee-free within the stated monthly funding limit; above-threshold card/other-method deposits may incur a fee. |
| Withdrawal | - | - |
| Inactivity | Axi can charge a monthly inactivity fee after 12 continuous months with no trading activity and no open positions; the amount depends on account currency. | Triggered by the inactivity period and account conditions stated here: Axi can charge a monthly inactivity fee after 12 continuous months with no trading activity and no open positions; the amount depends on account currency. |
| Currency conversion | A currency-conversion cost or markup can apply when the deposit, withdrawal, instrument, profit/loss, or settlement currency differs from the account base currency. The exact rate usually depends on entity, product and conversion route. | Applies when a deposit, withdrawal, instrument, P/L or settlement currency differs from the account base currency; rate varies by entity, product and conversion route. |
Cost most worth watching
For active traders comparing Standard and Pro, calculate the spread plus commission for the expected trade size rather than comparing minimum spreads alone. For positions held overnight, check the relevant financing rate; swap-free accounts can instead carry an overnight holding fee.
04
Is Axi Regulated and Safe?
Axi operates through multiple legal entities. The entity named in the account agreement determines the applicable regulator, client protections and product rules; the Axi brand name alone does not establish which protections apply.
Legal Entity Map
| Regulator | License Number | Jurisdiction | Main Protections |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASIC | 318232 | Australia | Australian retail CFD rules apply where the client is retail, including leverage limits, margin close-out and negative-balance protections; professional-client treatment differs. |
| CySEC | 433/23 | EEA / Cyprus | Cyprus/EEA MiFID framework applies. Retail leverage/product rules and investor-protection/complaint arrangements differ from offshore entities; compensation eligibility depends on the entity and client. |
| DFSA | DFSA Ref F003742 | Dubai International Financial Centre / eligible regional clients | DIFC/DFSA framework applies. Permitted client categories and services depend on the entity's DFSA permissions; protections differ from UK/EU/Australian retail regimes. |
| FCA | 466201 | United Kingdom | UK FCA framework applies to this entity. Retail-client leverage/product rules, client-money safeguards and complaint/compensation routes can differ from offshore entities; eligibility rules apply. |
| FMA (New Zealand) | FSP518226 | New Zealand | New Zealand entity/rules apply. Check whether the firm is licensed or only registered for a specific service; product and dispute-resolution arrangements differ from other entities. |
Why the entity matters
The UK account is provided by Axi Financial Services (UK) Limited under FCA licence 466201; the Australian entity is AxiCorp Financial Services Pty Ltd under ASIC licence 318232. EEA/Cyprus clients are associated with Solaris EMEA Ltd under CySEC licence 433/23, while the DIFC and New Zealand arrangements have their own entity-specific frameworks. Confirm the contracting entity shown during registration rather than assuming that rules in one region apply to another.
Leverage is a material difference. Retail leverage in regulated regions is capped by asset class; for example, major forex pairs can be up to 30:1 and cryptocurrencies up to 2:1. Some international accounts may offer higher limits, but availability depends on location, entity, account and product. Professional or Elite treatment can also change protections.
Client Protection
Axi says it holds retail and professional client money in segregated accounts with tier-one banking institutions. Negative balance protection applies to retail clients in certain regulated jurisdictions, including UK- or CySEC-regulated accounts, but may not cover professional or Elite clients or accounts under other entities.
Eligible individuals may qualify for the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme, with compensation up to £85,000. Eligibility depends on the client and entity. These safeguards do not remove market, counterparty or trading risk.
05
What Can You Actually Trade?
Axi’s instruments are primarily leveraged products. Stock exposure is mainly through CFDs, so a CFD position does not confer share ownership or voting rights. Product availability and leverage depend on location, account and platform.
| Asset Class | Available | Approx. Number | Maximum Retail Leverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forex | Yes | 70 | 1:1000 |
| Crypto | Yes | 30+ | 1:200 |
| Stocks | Yes | 100 | N/A |
| Indices | Yes | 15 | 1:200 |
| Commodities | Yes | 28 | 1:1000 |
| ETFs | Yes | 130+ | 1:25 |
| Options | No | Not Offered | - |
| Bonds | No | Not Offered | - |
*Leverage qualification: These are maximums for certain accounts or regions, not universal retail limits. Leverage varies by entity, country, account and instrument. Regulated retail limits can be lower: major forex pairs are capped at 30:1 in the UK, Europe and Australia, while crypto is capped at 2:1.
Where the range is strongest
The range covers forex, CFDs on stocks and ETFs, indices, commodities and crypto. The 130+ ETF CFD count broadens market exposure, but it remains derivative exposure rather than ownership of ETF units.
Where it is limited
Bonds and standard retail options are not offered. Stock and crypto products are generally derivatives rather than direct ownership or wallet-held assets, and availability can be restricted by jurisdiction.

Core Experience
The Axi Trading Platform provides web and mobile access for discretionary trading and account management. MT4 is available across desktop, web and mobile; its full Expert Advisor and custom-code environment is desktop/VPS-centric. The browser terminal is useful for access and monitoring but does not run Expert Advisors or scripts.
Advanced Features
MT4 supports MQL4 Expert Advisors on a desktop or VPS environment. Axi also supports API trading, with API connections primarily facilitated through MT4 infrastructure, and offers VPS hosting through third-party providers. Axi’s Copy Trading App mirrors signal providers’ trades; users can set trade-size ratios, drawdown limits and stop levels. Copy trading is not custom algorithm programming.
Mobile Experience
The Axi Trading Platform and Copy Trading App are available on mobile. MT4 also has iOS and Android versions. The Copy Trading App is focused on following and managing copied strategies rather than building programmable systems.
Main Platform Trade-Off
Best aspect: MT4 pairs desktop Expert Advisor support with web and mobile access; the separate Copy Trading App lets users mirror other strategies.
Main friction point: Full MT4 automation and custom-code workflows require desktop or VPS; browser and mobile clients are mainly for trading and monitoring.
07
Opening, Funding and Withdrawing From the Account
Account Opening
Axi requires KYC verification for live accounts. Applicants typically submit a government-issued photo ID and proof of residence, such as a recent utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill. Documents can be uploaded through the Client Portal or trading app. Electronic checks may take minutes; manual review can take 1–2 business days.
The Standard account has a $0 account minimum, but funding-method minimums apply: $5 for cards, $10 for PayPal and $50 for cryptocurrency. Bank transfers have no set minimum, though local banks may impose their own limits. Axi UK recommends $100 for Standard and Pro accounts; Elite has a recommended $25,000 threshold that is not a hard minimum. Account conditions can differ by entity.
Deposits and Withdrawals
| Method | Deposit Time | Withdrawal Time | Deposit Fee | Withdrawal Fee |

Axi lists Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, wire transfer, Pix, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bitwallet, AstroPay, Fasapay and cryptocurrencies among its deposit options. Withdrawals include cards, PayPal, Tether, Ethereum, USD Coin, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Solana, Ripple, Skrill, Neteller, AstroPay, Fasapay, Pix and wire transfer. Available methods depend on location and account.
Base account currencies include AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NZD, PLN, SGD and USD. Currency conversion costs can apply when the payment, instrument or settlement currency differs from the account base currency. Bank, card, payment-provider and blockchain charges may be additional to Axi’s own fees.
08
Execution and Trading Conditions
Axi identifies its broker type as STP. That label describes the stated model; it should not be treated as independently established evidence of execution quality. Axi reports positive or negative slippage can occur. The maximum leverage available depends on the contracting entity, client classification, instrument and location; high offshore limits do not override regulated retail caps.
Axi lists a 100% margin-call level and a 50% stop-out margin level. These account thresholds do not prevent losses from rapid market moves or gaps. Overnight financing applies to applicable positions; swap-free accounts can instead carry an overnight holding fee.
Axi allows scalping on standard retail accounts and permits Expert Advisors on MT4. Axi Select has a separate restriction: rapid short-term scalping aimed at capturing very brief price movements is prohibited on those accounts. News trading is allowed on standard retail accounts, but volatile releases can widen spreads and increase slippage or requotes. Axi advises checking the product schedule or support for current account-specific execution policies.
Hedging is permitted. On Axi’s proprietary trading platform, opposite positions may net off rather than remain as separate positions. Axi Select and other specialized programs can have distinct conditions.

Before You Open an Account
Check these three things first
- Your legal entity: Confirm the contracting company, regulator and licence shown for your country. The protections and leverage rules differ between Axi’s UK, Australian, Cyprus/EEA, DIFC and New Zealand arrangements.
- Your likely trading cost: Compare the spread and commission together for your expected trade size, then account for overnight financing and any currency conversion.
- Your product/account requirements: Check the account minimum and payment-method thresholds, the products available in your jurisdiction, and whether your client classification changes leverage or negative-balance protection.
Bottom line
Axi is primarily suited to active forex traders who value MT4 automation and a choice of spread-only or raw-spread pricing. Entity-dependent leverage, protections and account costs are the main reasons to verify the exact terms before funding.
